Who ever dreamed about using an iPhone to fingerprint someone? It seems that many cops in the USA own an iPhone, so why not use their passion for the gadget created by the Cupertino giant to create an innovative fingerprinting system? Fulcrum Technologies has come up with a nifty device, the mobileOne, that attaches itself to the iPhone and servers as identifying tool.

This fingerprint device is quite cheap at $600 and certainly cheaper than mobile stations with this sole purpose. Usually, the delay or running a print through databases can last for up to several hours and prices for mobile gear is huge. This time, the iPhone speeds up the process and FBI considers it a valuable asset. The mobileOne can also be attached to an iPod Touch and the accessory easily fits into a pocket.

High quality fingerprints are taken, even after the FBI rigorous standards. In 2012 there will be trials and tests for this technology and if it gets approved, the iPhone fingerprint device might be available for all US law enforcement. The reason why Android was not chosen for this idea is that Apple is considered more fit for biometrics (fingerprint, facial analysis and voice print), since it provides a more stable platform.

Alibaba, the same online supplier that leaked iPad 2 cases before the tablet was announced, now leaks a bunch of cases for the iPad 5. These look like good hints towards the design of the next generation of Apple handsets. Well, believe it or not, the design seems to be same as the one of the iPhone 4.

In spite of speculations saying that the new iPhone will sport a redesign, the Alibaba cases say otherwise. They come with the same shape and size as the iPhone 4 ones and the same slots for SIM card, audio jack and sleep/wake button. These models could be designed for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5, but we can only speculate right now.

Honestly, we prefer the version of the iPhone 5 with a new design, 4 inch edge to edge display and dual core CPU… rather than the same design and moderately upgraded specs.

The folks of Android Community took their time to review the Motorola Atrix 4G HD dock, that’s shown below and that will allow you to connect the handset to quite a bunch of large screens. Among the connections available you get 3 USB ports, a 3.5mm stereo audio output, plus HDMI and a charger port.

You can also connect the accessory to a wired keyboard and mouse using the USB ports, but wireless mice and keyboards will work just as well. Once Moto Atrix 4G unit is connected to the dock, the handset goes into the WebTop UI mode, that will also pop up on a HDTV, for example. This is just like we’ve shown you back in Barcelona, during MWC.

The user can also go with the Entertainment Center user interface, that will allow one to make good use of an infrared remote control. You’ll love the keyboard, since it’s slick and it comes with a couple of Android app shortcut buttons, plus the full keyboard experience in a tinier package. More details you’ll find in the full review here.

If you want to turn your iPhone 4 into a Droid imitation, you just have to slap a QWERTY keyboard on top of it and everything will be fine… Well, not exactly on top, but you get the point. Now you can perform this task, thanks to BoxWave’s Keyboard Buddy, the accessory shown in the image below.

This is a Bluetooth keyboard embedded in an iPhone 4 case, one that doesn’t resort to flipping out, but sliding instead, trying to keep the contraption really slim. The product will start shipping next month and it’ll go for as little as $70, so start writing Santa for this item, too.

Intuit and Mophie have teamed up in order to offer iPhone owners to chance to turn their handsets into credit card pay points. The resulting product is the Complete Credit Card Solution, that includes a Mophie iPhone case with incorporated credit card reader and Intuit’s GoPayment app.

These two combined will allow the iPhone user to accept credit card payments on the device and authorize them digitally. The setup process needed to get started takes a mere 15 minutes and users will simply have to swipe credit cards using the Mophie reader and authorize payment by signing on the iPhone’s screen.

You can buy the Complete Credit Card Solution at Apple retail stores for $179.95 and know that the product is compatible with the iPhone 3G and 3GS. The GoPayment App is available for free from the App Store, but it’ll require a $12.95 per month fee.

Brickhouse Security sells the iPhone Spy Stick, an accessory that comes into play when you lose the data on your iPhone before you get to back it up on your PC. This stick needs to be plugged into the PC at the same time with the iPhone and it’ll reveal all the lost data on the handset.

This means that you’ll get deleted messages, contacts, photos, calendar data, deleted notes, voice memos and much more. Also, this allows a jealous partner to spy on his mate using the stick and uncovering messages and photos that shouldn’t be there. This is a great backup tool, but since it’s a product for paranoid users, it comes with quite a price: $199.

Right now, iPhone Spy Stick only supports iOS 3.2.1, but iPhone 4 support will be here in October.

Dell Streak was already hot enough on its own, but imagine attaching a QWERTY keyboard with plenty of input options to this hot MID. We’re talking about the Logitech diNovo Mini that was recently paired with a Dell Streak unit, enhancing its functionality.

You’ll spend only a bit over $100 for the accessory, a portable Bluetooth keyboard that was launched two years ago. Its cover holds the Streak perfectly and interacts with the 5 inch handset as shown in the video below. Basically, what we see here is an Android laptop killer and a reason to quit using notebooks alltogether.

Pairing is done seamlessly via Bluetooth and the keys plus finger pad operate with ease. Pure magic in the video below:

Apple’s recent email sent to customers claims that automatic refunds are available, for those who buy an iPhone 4 before September 30.

The Cupertino giant estimates that the bumper case solution will cost the company $175 million and it’s not even the final way to get rid of signal issues. We remind you that folks who purchased an iPhone 4 less than 30 days ago and are dissatisfied with the product can get a full refund, courtesy of Apple.
