Android Portable Console ODROID Packs iPhone 3GS Specs

Android has managed to do everything till now, except get in the console biz. Now, thanks to anonymous company Hardkernel it has also reached this segment, via a portable gaming device called the ODROID.

This NOT PHONE comes with specs that might remind some of you of the iPhone, stuff like an ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz Samsung S5PC100 CPU or a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen with a 320 x 480 pixels resolution. HDMI-out with 720p support is also on board, together with Wi-Fi, microSD and SD card slots, audio jacks and composite TV out.

Oh, did we mention that the device is butt ugly? I guess you can see that for yourselves… Also, don’t get thinking that this gadget might be used as a phone, since it doesn’t support 2G or 3G connectivity, but WiFi plus Skype might just do the trick. Still, an ugly piece of technology…
