MWC 2011: Motorola Atrix is a Serious Challenger to the Title of “World’s Most Powerful Smartphone” (Video)
Well, the battle between smartphones just got tougher, as the Motorola Atrix super phone reached our sight at MWC 2011. In Barcelona we were stunned by the Samsung Galaxy S II till now and also by the HTC Incredible S, but here comes a major challenger. Motorola Atrix is a smartphone and more, as it manages to connect to television sets, PCs and laptops and “take over”.
This incredible device is the world’s first 4 inch qHD display smartphone and we learn that it uses a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB RAM and a 5MP camera. The latter comes with an LED flash and supports HD video capture. Throughout the clip we’re reminded that this is the world’s most powerful phone and by the end of the 4 minute hands on experience, you’ll agree with that statement.
Moto Atrix includes a fingerprint recognition system at the back, used to unlock it and in case you’re wondering, you’ll get to use 16 gigs of internal memory, plus an extra 32GB, through microSD storage. The smartphone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Motoblur UI on it, as you can see for yourselves in the video.
The really nifty part comes when you place the Moto Atrix on a dock and connect it to a PC. Its WebTop mode kicks in, allowing you to control every feature of the phone from the PC and viceversa. You can even go full screen with mobile games and mobile media! More info in the clip!
