  • PayPal has recently announced that it’ll support payments for apps purchased via Android Market and Apple’s App Store. Thus, you’ll be able to buy applications without using your credit card. Right now, in order to purchase an Android Market app, you’ll need to use Google Checkout, that in its turn needs a credit, debit or gift card.

It’s worth mentioning that credit cards are not accessible in countries all over the world, as they are in the US, so PayPal is a safe option. The new service will be available starting this quarter, for the iPhone and Android handsets in the US, UK, France, Canada, Italy, Australia and Netherlands.

There’s already a PayPal app for the iPhone, dubbed iPhone Library, accepting PayPal payments from users. The software has been submitted to Apple for approval.
