ROAD Handy S101, 3 Year Old Device Runs Android Quite Neatly (Video)

Back in 2006, when we weren’t even dreaming about iPhones and Android, UMPC Portal wrote about the Road S101 device, supposed to be coming out soon at that time.
Now it still hasn’t been launched, but the device has got minor upgrades to go with the present time and technology. Here’s a look at the handset running Android:
Let’s start with the flaws of the device, stuff like 2.5G connectivity max, 800 EUR price tag (huuge) and a thick and chubby design. However, you’ll love the QWERTY keyboard of the handset (LG Voyager style) and the fact that it can go to PC mode and Phone mode, depending on your needs.
The specs list of Road Handy S101 is not bad, but it’s not 100% sure, so take it with a grain of salt. The device packs a 512 MHz Marvell PXA270 processor, 128 MB RAM, 512 MB Flash, a 1800 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery, a color TFT touchscreen (640 x 240 pixels), a 1.3 megapixel camera plus WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 support.
