The Android T-Mobile G1 Experience in Your Web Browser Now, Via Emulator
October 5th, 2008 | by ThryStan |
In case waiting for the 22nd of October is too much of a pain for you, there’s some Android action you can check out right now, in your web browser by accessing this site. It’s a demo of the G1 Android phone and you get to toy with it as you like.
You’d expect this neat demo to come from a third party, but it seems that T-Mobile has launched this emulator in order to keep its future customers satisfied and willing to purchase the G1. Still, there’s no Street View to mess with and most of the available apps are not functional, so consider this a virtual test run of Android.
The good thing is that you get more stuff than the Android SDK’s emulator, so you’ll be browsing through the menus like no other, after buying the device. Just access the T-Mobile site and give the G1 a spin!
