Vibo A688 Android Smartphone, Made by Foxconn, Packing Moderate Features

January 15th, 2010 | by ThryStan |

Vibo is a Taiwanese mobile carrier that just introduced the Android 1.6 smartphone shown in the picture below and dubbed A688. The handset is made by Foxconn, the Apple partner that makes the iPhone and we learn that this touchscreen phone works on WCDMA and GSM networks.

Odds are that Vibo A688 won’t leave Taiwan, but here’s its feature list anyway: WiFi, GPS/AGPS, a digital compass, a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and a 3.2 inch touchscreen display. The smartphone also sports an accelerometer, a light sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack and a Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor.

In other news, we found out that Gigabyte Communications and AboCom Systems are also gearing up to launch Android phones.
