Apple iSlate Tablet Rumours, Other Hints Boost the Cupertino Company Stock

December 28th, 2009 | by Yorga |

There’s been a recent spree of Apple Tablet rumours, culminating with the supposed leak of the device’s name, that should be “iSlate”, as far as we know. Also, we’ve learned that Apple has an event scheduled for January 26th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California, so this could mark the debut of the tablet.

While Cupertino refuses to comment on these speculations, their effects are being felt on the stock market, as you can see in the image above. On December 24th the Apple stock value jumped quite a lot and it’s not even related to quarterly revenues or new products, like the Mac Pro refreshed models.

It seems that everyone thought it would be nice to buy some Apple shares and make some quick cash on this time of the year. The flux of rumours aided the purchase and increased the value of the stocks, just as journalists were figuring out the whole “iSlate” thing.
