Apple Purchases Lala Music Streaming Service

December 6th, 2009 | by Yorga |

Turns out that Apple wants more than the revenue it gets via iTunes, so it decided to cash in on some streaming, by buying Lala. The latter is a music streaming service, allowing users to stream songs one time for free, with a fee of 10 cents per track afterwards.

Lala’s offer meant that the user can buy a bunch of tracks and access/stream them from wherever they find a Flash supporting browser, but will the service stay the same under Apple’s wing?

Will they integrate Lala into iTunes or will the Cupertino brains make it a service that works on the iPhone and iPod Touch for perfect streaming? We’ll have to wait and see…
