Garmin-Asus Nuvifone Gets Pictured; Windows Mobile on Board
As if the Nuvifone G60 smartphone wasn’t a big enough surprise, the newly formed Garmin-Asus alliance has announced that it plans to show its brand new Nuvifone M20 at MWC 2009, with Windows Mobile on board. This WM 6.1 device also supports 3G and WiFi connectivity and it just got pictured, for you to admire below:
Nuvifone M20 features a GPS, a 3 megapixel camera with geotagging and an Internet browser that will provide a desktop-like experience and it’ll also support panning and zooming with a finger swipe. The handset uses a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen and will be available with 4 or 8 GB of internal memory.
Since the creation of the device involved Garmin after all, its navigational features will be top notch and it seems that frequently used apps, like the calendar, contacts, e-mail, or Internet will be linked to those. On board there’s also Garmin’s Ciao! software, that allows social networking friends to find each other.
