BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 More Expensive On T-Mobile?
October 3rd, 2008 | by ThryStan |
You’d expect the first clamshell BlackBerry handset to be available for a fair amount of cash, but the latest rumours coming from tmonews show a list of prices that are way too high for this device. The BlackBerry 8220, also known as the Pearl Flip got its price point revealed by a T-Mobile employee and it looks something like this:
- New Activation 2 Year Contract $149.99 (after $50 MIR)
- New Activation 1 Year Contract $199.99 (after $50 MIR)
- Full Upgrade 2 Year Contract $167.99 (after $50 MIR)
- Full Upgrade 1 Year Contract $217.99 (after $50 MIR)
- Partial Upgrade: TBD
- Retail Price: $349.99
T-Mobile will be the only carrier to sell this new BlackBerry in the US, while Rogers handles the sales in Canada, possibly even cheaper than the above-mentioned pricing. Of course, this is all rumour material, so feel free not to believe us, but we’ll find out if the prices are real or not this fall, when Pearl Flip arrives.
