BlackBerry Storm Now Controls a McLaren F1 Car, a Fan’s Adventure/Viral (Video)
March 11th, 2009 | by ThryStan |
Two weeks before the 2009 Formula 1 season starts we’re being treated with the finest example of viral I’ve seen recently. A McLaren and Formula 1 fan managed to get hold of a BlackBerry Storm app that allowed him to control an F1 toy car, while using the phone like the genuine driving wheel.
McLaren liked the man’s initiative and passion so much, that they’ve allowed him to check out the real thing and meet Lewis Hamilton. Here’s how it all went:
Controlling a REAL Formula 1 car with the aid of a phone?! Yes ladies and gentlemen, it has come to this and it’s none other than Lewis Hamilton doing the steering behind the screen of a BlackBerry Storm device.
This is a superb viral, that’s surely created by a pretty forward-thinking advertising team, hired by Vodafone and McLaren.
