Windows Phone 7 is very much official now, with the New York launch event having wrapped up and about 9 phones showing their beautiful faces in there. Among them we found the strangely familiar HTC HD7, apparently a HD2 clone with minor upgrades. By “minor” we mean 720p video capture and Windows Phone 7.

Minutes away from the launch of Windows Phone 7 we uncovered HTC 7 Trophy posted on German retailer A1′s site here. The device runs WP7 and it packs a 3.8 inch touch display. The Wall Street Journal has a piece on the neverending Verizon iPhone story, this time backing up the new version with some solid info. It appears that AT&T will lose its hold over the Apple handset, that will be sold by Verizon next year. This makes the carrier an interesting option, considering its impressive number of Android devices.
