Coolpad MAX Gets Announced in China; Mid-Range Phablet with 3 GB RAM and $348 Price Tag
In the last couple of days we had a busy time covering news about some new mobile devices launched on the Chinese market, like the Xiaomi Redmi 3 or the Lenovo Lemon 3. For this Friday we get another announcement, this time one from Coolpad, producer that is glad to reveal its latest creation called MAX – a 5.5 inch phablet.
This phone looks pretty attractive at the first sight, even if we notice a lot of elements borrowed from Huawei Mate 8, and even from HTC One A9 – the back cover in particular where the camera sensor is placed in middle. Leaving this detail behind, we see an interesting introduction here, and that’s the 2.5D glass protection applied on the front-facing panel.
In terms of hardware specs, we’re getting a 5.5 inch Full HD display unit with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor that is clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM memory and 16 or 32 GB space of internal storage. There’s a dual-SIM slot and support for microSD as well.
Coolpad MAX arrives with a 13-megapixel rear camera, with a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor and with 4G LTE support that promises 150 Mbps download speeds. At the same time, this phone packs a 2800 mAh battery + Quick Charging technology and a fingerprint scanner. Coolpad’s latest phone weighs 175 grams and measures only 6.9 mm in thickness.
As for the price, the 16 GB variant will cost $348, while the 32 GB model will be yours for about $379.
