Ever imagined you’d see a projector phone with a 12.2 megapixel camera on board? Well, in Japan you will, thanks to Fujitsu, who turned a concept phone from CEATEC 2008 into the Keitai F-04B splittable phone you can check out below.

This handset can split into 2 segments, a display unit and keyboard unit, connected via Bluetooth. Each segment comes with its own Lithium Ion battery and the phone sports 1Seg TV, packs a QWERTY keyboard, a 3.4 inch LCD touch display and an optional projector. The latter provides 6 lumens of brightness and is able to function for 2 straight hours thanks to a 800 mAh battery.

This projector unit is sourced by Texas Instruments and uses a DLP Pico chipset, plus it supports a 854 x 480 pixels resolution. Akihabara News had a hands on experience with the device and found it to be a bulky and not too responsive phone, but at least it’s a concept turning into reality, at last.
