Giga-Byte Announces GSmart S1200 Smartphone at MWC 2009

Finally a brand other than Nokia, Samsung or LG made an announcement at MWC 2009! This time we’re dealing with Giga-Byte’s promising smartphone, the GSmart S1200, that showed up today in Barcelona. S1200 measures 105.5 x 52 x 11.4 mm and uses a 528 MHz Qualcomm 7200A CPU.

The new Giga-Byte device supports GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, plus WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0. S1200’s specs list also includes a microSD slot, a 1010 mAh battery, a special Adobe Flash UI and a 3 megapixel camera. What’s really interesting about this handset is that it can run Windows Mobile 6.1 or WM 6.5.

The feature list includes 256 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM, a 3.1 inch WVGA touchscreen display and push email support.
