Google to Charge Extra if You Get Rid of the Nexus One Contract Early

  • We’ve just found out that aside from the early termination fees you’ll have to pay for giving up your contract associated with the purchase of a Nexus One unit, Google wants to charge you extra. The info surfaced on Phandroid, since its editors had a good look at the contract that comes with the device.

    The early termination fees will certainly dig a hole in your pocket, but Google will make you $529 poorer if you dare to quit the contract early. Let’s see if anyone reacts strongly to the big G’s decision, or if they don’t care enough to. Some people really like to keep their contract till they expire…
