Hisense E601M is Probably the Cheapest 4G Phone in the World, Priced at Just $64

Priced at just $64, the Hisense E601M is probably the cheapest 4G handset in the world. This model uses a MediaTek MT6582 quad core processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes with TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA connectivity, as well as GSM tri mode support.

This model is coming to China Mobile and it uses a standard SIM card slot, plus it’s a single SIM device. It packs a 4 inch WVGA display, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM. There’s a 2 MP camera on board, a 1500 mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 as the OS. Hisense E601M measures 11.7 mm in thickness and it’s sold in black or white. The back camera lacks a flash and below it we find the speaker, closer to the bottom.

Upfront, the E601M has 3 capacitive buttons and there’s a line pattern at the back that looks nice. The niche of affordable 4G phones is in bloom all over the world, particularly in USA of late. By affordable we usually mean around $100 or $200, but this time the new model is beyond affordable.

For just $64, you’re actually getting a decently spec’d phone. Though I think I’d rather have seen a dual core processor and a gig of ram, but hey, way to go Hisense!
