  • We’ve just learned from Mobilissimo that HTC HD2 has just hit local Eastern Europe carrier Vodafone Romania, that will sell it for a price starting with $714, bundled with a 2 year contract.

You can also get the cool capacitive multitouch phone by extending your contract by 2 years, but that adds an extra 20 euros to the handset’s price. There’s no one year contract offer sadly, but you can also get the handset free of commitment for 539 EUR. We remind you that HTC HD2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz CPU, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, Windows Mobile 6.5 and a huge touchscreen display.

It supports WiFi 802.11 b/g, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and VGA 30 fps video recording, plus A-GPS. In case these specs didn’t convince you, there’s always the fact that this is the first handset well specced enough to run Windows Mobile 7.
