HTC Makes Internal Changes, New Officials to Take on the Smartphone Market

  • HTC made an announcement concerning its internal reorganization taking place these days. Chief officers from major departments were replaced and valuable officials have been promoted to the top spots. CEO Peter Chou mentions that these measures were taken to aid HTC in developing its internal management skills.

    Ron Louks is the new Chief Strategy Office and a former Chief Technology with Sony Ericsson, so he’s got all the experience one needs. Kouji Kodera also comes from Sony Ericsson and he’s now the new Chief Product Officer for HTC. David Chen, the former Product Development VP at HTC is now the Chief Engineering Officer, but he’ll continue to coordinate the development and design of products.

    Jason Mackenzie is the HTC America and Latin America president, promoted from HTC NA VP, while Florian Seiche is the president of HTC EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Meanwhile, Jason Juang, a senior VP with HTC stepped down from his position, creating new opportunities for other officials.
