HTC Qilin is Basically a HTC Whitestone for China Mobile
HTC Qilin is the China Mobile version of HTC Whitestone, that should bear the Dopod branding and reach Asia with TD-SCDMA support. This Windows Mobile 6.5 handset comes with pretty impressive specs, that you’ll find out after the break.
Also known as Dopod T8488, HTC Qilin doesn’t use a QWERTY keyboard and has a TI OMAP 3430 600 MHz CPU under the hood, the same as Palm Pre and iPhone 3GS. 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM are also on the specs list, together with a 3.6 inch WVGA display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, WiFi 802.11g and GPS/AGPS.
Qilin supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE/TD-SCMA connectivity and packs a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, a front VGA cam, gravity, light and proximity sensors plus mobile TV.
