  • In an attempt to bring HTC Sense to the masses, the Taiwanese phone maker created the HTC Smart model, an easy to use smartphone with many connectivity options. The handset will be available starting this Spring in Europe and Asia.

The device sports a compact and user-friendly touch design, an intuitive UI (based on HTC Sense), based on personal customization and social networking. Qualcomm was also on board while creating the new phone, through their involvement in the making of the Brew Mobile Platform open operating system.

HTC Smart relies on Qualcomm’s Brew MP, a mobile OS that keeps the costs down and provides more flexibility for the handset. The new device packs a 300 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM, a microSD slot, a 2.8 inch TFT LCD touch display, quad band support, a 3 megapixel camera with fixed focus, a 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 2.0 support.
