  • As we’ve found out a while ago, Sprint managed to leak its 2010 portofolio on the web, including its upcoming phones. On this list there was a device called HTC A9292, supporting WiMAX and bearing a candybar design. Apparently, according to Engadget this smartphone should be a real “monster”…

Also codenamed HTC Supersonic, the handset was included on the Taiwanese phone maker’s list of Android-based handsets. Expect it to be similar to HTC HD2, perhaps even a version of it, sporting a 4.3 inch display and fast processor (that’s still a mystery, though).

The phone’s body is really thin and the device also comes with a kickstand at the back (like the Imagio model). HTC Supersonic will be available in pearly white, it’ll run Android 2.1 and use the Sense interface. Engadget’s source mentions quite a bunch of bugs plaguing the software on this device, but is a HTC HD2 with WiMAX and Android appealing or what?

I would love to get this phone. I NEED IT NOW. Why does sprint wait so long to release these great phones, yeah they're the “fastest” network, but what good is it with a phone thats 6 months out dated. Until we get to a super computer the size of a credit card, we need these phones yesterday!
