Next week Huawei has a big event, one that’s meant to debut the P6 ultraslim smartphone, but they may bring a few more devices to the show. One of them could be a Windows Phone 8 model that we’ve heard about before: Huawei Ascend W2.

Huawei Italy posted on its Facebook page a watery picture of a WP8 device, without mentioning what it is. It’s most likely the W2, that we’ve already heard about and seen in various leaks. The handset will be superior to the W1, but it will still be a midrange handset, this time with better specs. The rumored price tag is $290 and the device is expected to feature a HD IPS 4.3 inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5 GHz processor and an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash.

It will also support Full HD video capture and it will pack 1 GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, HSPA+ and a 2000 mAh battery. The design of the new Ascend W model is pretty similar to the one of its predecessor and I hope that the battery cover is easier to remove this time…
