CES 2010: Huawei U8230 Hands on Experience Revealed
January 12th, 2010 | by Yorga |
A couple of days after the whole CES 2010 mayhem, we sit down and have a look at the devices we’ve seen showcased at the Las Vegas show. Among them there was also Huawei U8230, a distant “cousin” to the U8220, known in the UK as T-Mobile Pulse.
U8230 is very similar to the Pulse, packing a 3.2 megapixel camera, a secondary VGA upfront, quadband EDGE/triband HSPA support and a 3.5 inch display. Too bad that this device seems to be a prototype of sorts, since it feels pretty crappy in the hand of the user, because of the navigation buttons placed along a piece of plastic.
The plastic holds mechanical switches underneath, but we hope the final unit won’t be plagued by such design issues.
