Huawei Announces U8230 Android Phone and C8000 WM Handset

As CommunicAsia 2009 goes on, Huawei has officially announced 2 new handsets, an Android smartphone known as U8230 and the C8000 Windows Mobile handset. Huawei U8230 doesn’t look like the Android prototype we spotted back in February, but its aspect is not very different either.
Huawei U8230 comes with a wide 3.5 inch touchscreen display, a virtual QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a variety of Google apps, a 1,500 mAh battery and a trackball. Next comes the Windows Mobile handset Huawei C8000, with a design that resembles HTC Touch 3G.
C8000 packs a 2.8 inch touch display, a 3D interface and a “unique independent display adapter”, used for DVD-quality presentations. Both smartphones will hit the market in the second half of 2009 and we found out that Android U8230 will be available via T-Mobile and TIM, while the pricing is unknown yet.
