The folks of Taoviet have struck solid gold, when they published the pictures of an iPhone 4G unit, possibly a more evolved one than the prototype analyzed by Gizmodo a couple of weeks ago. This 4th gen iPhone is a 16GB model with XXX placeholders at the back and possibly no OS on board.

This is a pre-production unit that looks pretty genuine and comes with a modified design, compared to the Gizmodo prototype: it lacks the screws at the bottom. The cleaner design of the new iPhone indicates that this handset is closer to the retail unit and this time we even get to see its processor, with Apple branding on.

How will the Cupertino giant react to this new leak?
