The series of iPhone 7 leaks continues, so after seeing the casing of the device in renders, it’s time for a live shot of the same case. The picture below supposedly comes from a Foxconn factory.

iPhone 7

We’ve seen such production line leaks before, over the past years, so this doesn’t surprise us. The big change from previous iPhones is that the iPhone 7 will have its antenna plastic lines to the top and sides and not straight drawn onto the back in the top and bottom area. Pushing the antennae lines to the edges isn’t exactly solving the problem of aesthetics.

It would make more sense to get rid of that line alltogether, implement a new technology or put the cutouts on the sides. The problem with side placed antennae is the risk of another “Antennagate”, since our hands are conductors of current and signal may be messed up. Anyway, the design so far isn’t very very different from the one of the iPhone 6 and 6s, with a metallic unibody approach and rounded corners.

The skinny waistline of 6.1 mm is still in the cards.
