Google Versus Apple in iPhone API Conflict
We’ve shown you how the iPhone search app developed by Google works a while ago, but it seems that Apple is not as keen on this piece of software as we are.
Their move? They pulled out Google’s mobile app from the App Store, claiming that it’s exploiting the iPhone’s proximity sensor and breaching the handset’s API.
Of course Google replied and told the world about this “outrage”, although some claimed they did break the API on purpose. All in all, the Google Voice Search is a great feature that we’d surely miss if it went down under Apple’s software “censorship”.
Could this be related to the rumours that Apple is preparing a search engine of its own?
