iPhone 3G Can Now Be Ordered Online from the Apple Store

In a move that shows Apple’s commitment to getting rid of the current iPhone 3G units before the new handset emerges, the Cupertino giant has decided to sell the iPhone 3G directly from the Apple Store.

The general public was already able to purchase the phone online via AT&T’s store, so this move is more of a way to encourage the people to get the handset, while they can. All you have to do is enter the Apple Store website, enter your billing info, review eligibility and pricing, select your AT&T rate plan and you’re all set.

What will Apple do if the iPhone 3G stock is still large after the new iPhone’s launch?
