  • What would life be without the Japanese gadgets that upgrade any technology to the next level? Now that the iPhone 3G is so popular all over the world, Softbank decided it needed something extra to win the hearts of the Japanese public: an external 1Seg TV tuner and a second battery.

Those two items are integrated in a single gadget that gets connected to the iPhone through the phone’s proprietary port or via WiFi in the case of TV functions. The best thing is that you can just keep Softbank’s accesssory in your pocket or purse and still be able to watch mobile TV on your iPhone.

The gadget measures 50 x 85 x 16 mm, weighs 80 grams and is a tad bulky, but at least it’s priced decently (80 EUR).
