  • Just days after the announcement of the Apple iPad tablet, we’ve come across a video showing the new device’s UI running on the iPhone and you should know that it has also been ported to the iPod Touch. Here’s what we’re talking about.

Basically, your iPhone will get a 3D flavour of the iPad’s interface, iBooks included and other small touches. However, in order to make the port work, you’ll need a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch. Also, you should have Winterboard installed via Cydia and the “Simple iPad Theme”.

Next, you should install MakeItMine once again via Cydia, in order to change the carrier shown on screen to “iPad”. After this step, you’ll need to download the Shrink app to reduce the size of the icons and then install ProSwitcher for the multitasking ability. Finally, you’ll be able to install NY Times, Classics and Kindle apps for the ebooks.
