Jolla Launcher will arrive on Android platform next week through an Alpha Testing program

Recently, Jolla, a company formed with members from the MeeGo Nokia unit, who is knowed on the market as an independent designer and developer of various mobile devices and OS solution like the Sailfish OS, announced that the Jolla Launcher will arrive next week through Alpha Testing for Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and other device running Android 4.3 or later.


Jolla says that this launcher is designed to give Android device owners the opportunity to try out the smooth Sailfish OS experience in a simple and risk-free way. This app will work on top of your Android OS while providing simple gesture-based swipe user interface and highlights of the essential tools that make Sailfish unique.

If you want to be a part form the Alpha Testing program you must follow the below stepts until June 27 2014. You also must know that you need a Nexus 4 or a Nexus 5 device and a Google accound to be accepted in this program.

  1. Send an email to from your Google account
  2. Include the following information: your name, and which device(s) you’re using
  3. Wait to receive the Google Play installation link and further instructions
