KDDI debuted today a senior-friendly phone, among others, dubbed Basio KYV32 and made by Kyocera. This model has its specs based on the Urbano V01 and it’s intended for beginners in the smartphone field, who never owned such a device before.

The handset comes with a simple homescreen and 3 physical keys below the display. It’s expected in stores in early February, with a quad core 2.3 GHz processor, a 5 inch Full HD display (TFT LCD), a 13 megapixel main camera and 2 GB of RAM. Basio KYV32 packs 16 GB of storage, offers email features and especially loud volume. There’s hearing aid support and various tweaks made to the sound, so the people with hearing impairments get the best experience.

VoLTE is among the features and a good thing is that this model is waterproof and dust resistant. Its 4G LTE speed reaches up to 150 Mbps in download and the battery inside a 3000 mAh unit. The product comes in gold, pink or blue, with a 10.4 mm waistline and a microSD card slot on board.
