LG Announces Solar Powered Phone As Well
February 13th, 2009 | by Yorga |
After finding out that Samsung has a solar-powered phone ready for us, we learned that LG will also bring out an eco-friendly device, ready for MWC 2009. They’ve got their own solar-powered cellphone, well not as hot as the one manufactured by Samsung, but still green enough to appeal to eco-conscious buyers.
LG claims that it used green packing for the handset and that the manuals are printed with soy ink on recycled paper. The device uses a solar panel placed on its battery cover and provides 3 minutes of talk time for every 10 minutes of sun exposure.
We’ll see the green LG handset hitting the market this year, with an announced price.
