  • LG has just announced that it’ll launch the GM730 handset in July, but the more interesting piece of into is the fact that we’ll also see the company launching an LG Applications Store pretty soon.

LG-GM730 will only hit Asia at first and the device is a Windows Mobile smartphone, based on the S-Class UI and supporting crop, cut, copy and paste for content. The handset supports multitasking and it’s compatible with Outlook, plus it only measures 11.9mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest smartphones to date.

The aim of the 3D user interface on this device is to drastically reduce the number of clicks needed to get around menus faster. There’s also push email on board of the GM730, plus Windows  Mobile 6.1, a 5 megapixel camera, a memory card slot (up to 16GB), GPS and FM radio.

At the time when the LG Application Store will be launched, around 1,400 apps will be available, quite a decent offer for such a new service.
