LG GW990 Moorestown-based Handset Available Starting 2010, Second Half
LG’s GW9900 is probably the hottest piece of equipment we’ve spotted at CES 2010 and we certainly didn’t get enough of it. Now, we learn that Intel Moorestown-based smartphone will be coming to the market in the second half of 2010, sporting a 4.8 inch widescreen touch display.
Intel’s Mobil Linux-based open source OS is running the show on the device and the Moorestown chip means that GW990 supports HD video playback and 3D gaming. WiFi and A-GPS tag along, together with a digital compass, a 5 megapixel camera and a customized UI, made out of 3 panels, available in landscape orientation.
This UI tweak allows the user to control separate functions of the smartphone, so you can listen to a song, while checking your email and chatting via IM.
