  • LG’s GW9900 is probably the hottest piece of equipment we’ve spotted at CES 2010 and we certainly didn’t get enough of it. Now, we learn that Intel Moorestown-based smartphone will be coming to the market in the second half of 2010, sporting a 4.8 inch widescreen touch display.

Intel’s Mobil Linux-based open source OS is running the show on the device and the Moorestown chip means that GW990 supports HD video playback and 3D gaming. WiFi and A-GPS tag along, together with a digital compass, a 5 megapixel camera and a customized UI, made out of 3 panels, available in landscape orientation.

This UI tweak allows the user to control separate functions of the smartphone, so you can listen to a song, while checking your email and chatting via IM.
