Wireless Phone Only Households Surpass Those Using Landlines for the First Time
A surprising FOX report shows that in 2003 only 4% of the US households used only wireless phones, while 42% used landlines only. Now the percentage has changed in favor of the wireless telephony, so, in 2008 17.4% of the households used landlines only, while 20.2% went with the wireless option.
Also, back in 2003, 42% of these people used both fixed and wireless phones, but now the number has gone up to 59.6%, while 2% of Americans still chose not to use any phone at all.
Moving on to the demographic, we learn that folks between 25 and 29 years of age are the best wireless phone consumers, as they stand for 41% of all users, followed by those from the 18-24 age range, with 33%.
