  • An anonymous source of muycomputer.com has recently confirmed that NVIDIA and Microsoft will co-host an event at MWC 2010, in Barcelona. Apparently, they’ll launch a Zune Phone, based on the Tegra platform and supporting 720p video playback.

Last we heard, a bunch of code lines from the latest Zune desktop software update kind of confirmed the existence of a Zune Phone, by mentioning three extra devices. As you might already know, the NVIDIA Tegra chipset was already used on the Zune HD player, a great piece of gadgetry, able to run 3D games.

Speculations claim that the Zune Phone will sport WiFi connectivity, HDMI video output, a 480 x 272 pixel display, all of these in a 70 gram heavy device. We don’t yet know if the handset will run Windows Mobile 7 or not, although this is highly likely.
