Skyfire 1.0 is Now Available; Features Get Detailed

After a long and promising beta phase, the Skyfire mobile browser is finally available in the 1.0 version. You’ll just have to access get.skyfire.com to get it and you should know that in the last couple of months over 1 million people downloaded and used this browser.

Version 1.0 comes with thumbnail interaction, allowing you to click on links as soon as the pages are loaded, so there will be no need for zooming in. This is a useful feature on high resolution handsets and for people who are familiar with the sites they access via this browser.

Skyfire also comes with enhanced navigation, remembering the last viewport and using shortcut keys for forward and backward navigation. Page handling has been improved and sites like Facebook or Gmail will work without issues and with no lag at all. Also, a double tap of double click will trigger the zoom feature, that is now smoother and more responsive than in the beta version, plus the zooming will offer you the chance to view readable text instantly.
