  • A Mobility Digest editor had fun with a cereal box and created a carton dock for his phones, as you can see in the images below. It’s all about an origami-like craft and a slit at the back, for a USB cable to go through, in order to connect to the PC.

We must mention that if you’re using a light phone, like the AT&T Pure, the “dock” is perfect, but if you’ve got a heavy powerhouse, you should go with stock paper, maybe even FedEx envelopes, that are pretty solid. Also, you can make the section that holds the phone wider, for extra safety.

If you care about design, not only sturdiness, you should use a ruler and a straight edge. You can print out the template on paper and trace it on the carton you’re using, just like the Mobility Digest guy. It all takes less than 5 minutes and you can check out the original guide over here and get the template from here.
