T-Mobile Probably Lost Your Confidential Data

Deutsche Telekom announced this weekend that confidential data theft had happened back in 2006, due to a security breach. As such, 17 million T-Mobile customers got their data stolen, including info like birth dates, phone numbers, addresses and emails. Thank God, no bank details were involved, else it would have been a major lawsuit for the provider.

The story evolves and it seems that the data is on sale right now, but there’s no buyer, maybe because there are no famous people on the list, or something. Of course, T-Mobile reassures us that there’s no reason to panic and worry about security procedures, that have been improved since this incident.

The German Police and T-Mobile are working right now to protect the affected customers, but… it’s been 2 years, so it’s quite strange to see them still fighting this issue.
