Moto has just made official 3 brand new Android phones heading for China, the Sholes aka Motorola XT701, Motorola XT800 and MT710. All 3 smartphones pack 3.7 inch displays with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, just like the Droid. The most uninteresting of them is certainly the MT710, since it only supports China’s TD-SCDMA connectivity standard.
This means you won’t be seeing the phone in Europe or the States…

Moto Sholes XT701 comes with WCDMA/HSDPA connectivity, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, Xenon flash, a CortexTM A8 quad core processor, capable of multitasking, a gravity sensor, infrared proximity sensors and an ambient light sensor. Sholes’ specs list also includes GPS, WiFi, video capture, a microSDHC card slot (32GB max), FM stereo FM radio, USB 2.0 connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1.

Motorola XT800 runs Android 2.0 and uses the full suite of Google apps, plus it supports CDMA/EVDO connectivity and GSM dual network. There’s also a HDMI 720p output on board, a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, a Cortex TM A8 multi core processor, GPS and a microSD card slot.
XT701 is headed to China Unicom for now, while the MT710 will hit China Mobile and the XT800 China Telecom.

Motorola Zeppelin aka the XT800 and Motorola MT710 are Android handsets we’ve seen before on the web, but they’ve yet to be announced, although we’ve found out that they should make it to China soon. Zeppelin gets pictured below and its specs are available after the break, courtesy of Chinese website The Third Media.

Moto XT800 is a dual mode phone (GSM and CDMA), that packs a 3.7 inch touchscreen display (854 x 480 pixels resolution), supports 3G connectivity, WiFi, incorporates a HDMI port and a 5 megapixel camera with flash. The folks of Mobile-review have also spotted the Motorola MT710 phone next to Zeppelin in a bunch of images, that you can also see below.
We have no info about the launch date of the XT800 and MT710, but we’re guessing they’ll be made available pretty soon.

You should know by now that OPhone is the Chinese customized version of Android offered by China Mobile and it’s hit quite a few popular devices, specially made by Dell and Lenovo. Now, Motorola is getting ready to launch an OPhone handset, dubbed Zhiling or the MT710.

Said phone will hit the Chinese market on December 28th, supporting China Mobile’s 3G standard (TD-SCDMA), Wi-Fi and packing a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, color effects, dual LED flash and video recording. On board of the handset you’ll find a 3.7 inch FWVGA screen, with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution, plus 256MB of RAM and 256MB of Flash ROM.
The specs list also includes a Marvell PXA310 624 MHz CPU, a microSDHC card slot, an accelerometer, virtual keyboard, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. Some say that Motorola Zhiling resembles Moto Droid, except for the fact that it doesn’t pack a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Just days after launching a pretty big hit called Droid, Motorola is readying a new Android device, this time for the Chinese market. Said device is Moto MT710, which is not an Android phone per se, since it runs the OPhone OS, China Mobile’s open home system, based on Android.

Till now we’ve only seen the OPhone on Lenovo, HTC, Philips and LG devices, but things change, specially when you quit using Windows Mobile. Rumours claim that Motorola MT710 will feature a 3.7 inch display, with a 854 x 480 pixels resolution, plus 3G support and in the end it’ll have the same specs as Moto Droid.
However, this phone won’t sport a physical keyboard, as you get to use a virtual keyboard instead. Moto doesn’t stop here and promises to bring 6 more handsets on the Chinese market, all of them with Android on board.
