Pantech’s new device packs a high-gloss faceplate with a haptic response touchpad and it’s filled with social networking features. The phone uses a full QWERTY keyboard and a bunch of shortcut keys that enable one touch access to instant messaging features, email and all sorts of apps.

The second full color display will be perfect for watching videos, viewing pictures and browsing the web. GPS is also on board, as well as side speakers, a mobile HTML browser, a responsive touchpad and 3G connectivity, via AT&T.

AT&T Navigator will handle the voice guided turn by turn navigation function, while video recording and picture taking will be aided by multimedia messaging and AT&T Mobile email.

AT&T’s Pantech Reveal and Impact Are Now Official

Friday, October 9th, 2009

AT&T and Pantech have just unveiled the Impact and Reveal models, that you can check out in the images below. Pantech Reveal is quite a cheap-looking phone, that packs a small screen, mostly because the rest of the front side is eaten up by a dedicated numeric keypad, although there’s also a sliding QWERTY keyboard underneath.

Pantech Impact is pictured above and comes with a glossy black surface, that can light up and reveal a monochrome display and a numeric pad, all basic features. If you press the pad’s buttons you trigger haptics and you can feel your way around the keys.

Also, one can open up Impact and reveal a full QWERTY keyboard with dedicated buttons for key features and a color display, plus stereo speakers on the sides. The screen is pretty big and impressive, but also useful when it comes to full HTML browsing. Pantech Impact will be available for under $80, starting next month.

Monday, October 5th, 2009

AT&T’s on a roll today, announcing HTC Tilt and HTC Pure plus 4 new cellphones that come with the Opera HTML browser. Two of the new models are Samsung handsets, Flight and Mythic, while the rest are Pantech devices, the Reveal and Impact models.

Samsung Flight is a messaging device, that packs a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen and it’ll reach the stores in November for $99.99 with a contract, after rebate. Samsung Mythic comes with an appealing 3.3 inch touchscreen display, the TouchWiz UI and a look that might remind some of the Eternity and Solstice phones.

Mythic also features Mobile TV and should be launched in November for $199.99 on contract, after rebate. Moving on to the Pantech side of things, we discover Pantech Reveal, a slider with a numeric keypad and a QWERTY keyboard as well. This device should hit the market on October 18, but its pricing is still a mystery. We do know that it packs 3G support and GPS Navigator…

Pantech Impact is the last of the bunch and it features an OLED touchscreen display, but you should know that this is a side flip, a la LG EnV. It also sports a secondary screen and full QWERTY keyboard, plus 3G support, a music player and haptic feedback. Price and availability are nowhere to be found.
