Windows Mobile 6.5 Will Be Announced Any Time Now @ MWC 2009

HTC’s CEO and President Peter Chou has just spoiled Microsoft’s surprise, by announcing that the Redmond giant will announce Windows Mobile 6.5 this afternoon. HTC and Microsoft officials will join forces for the announcement, which means we’ll also be seeing some handsets running the new OS. Will any of them pack NVIDIA Tegra chipsets?...

Tick, tack… Mobile World Congress 2009 is coming, so numerous handsets are leaking on the web and now it’s the turn of apps and services to get leaked as well. Windows Mobile 6.5 Screenshots Available – Hot and Zune-ish!

The first Windows Mobile 6.5 screenshots have just surfaced and be careful and cover your eyes, as they are steaming hot. There’s an air of Zune in one of the two, which might mean that we’ll see features borrowed from Microsoft’s player and integrated into the Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones. Windows Mobile 6.5 Is Real, Steve Ballmer Announced It

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft chief officer recently visited Australia, for a Telstra conference. He took the opportunity to announce that Windows Mobile 6.5 will hit next year, which pretty much postpones WM 7 for 2010 or so. Ballmer also talked about big touchscreen displays, video streaming over the Internet as the future “10 years from now”...
