Free Office Mobile 2010 Available on Windows Mobile 6.5 Devices

Microsoft’s Office Mobile 2010 productivity suite has just left beta phase and it’s now available for download over the Marketplace. You can get the new Office Mobile on your WM 6.5 handset if you already have an older version of the suite, so this is basically a free update.

Office Mobile 2010 brings new versions of OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Workspace on your mobile device. The new software comes with a new interface design, focused on touch interaction and support for PowerPoint presentation editing straight from the phone. There’s also a new conversation view for Outlook 2010 Mobile e-mails, that reminds us of the desktop version of Office 2010.

PowerPoint Mobile 2010 now lets you read presentation notes from the handset, as your slides will be displayed on a laptop or PC and you can use this software to move slides. More info about the features of Office Mobile 2010 can be found here.

Logic Bolt 1.5 Projector Phone Goes Live

LG Expo was a projector phone we had a look at weeks ago, but it turns out that this isn’t the only projector phone in the US any more. Another interesting model comes from the manufacturer Logic Wireless and we’re talking about the Logic Bolt 1.5 handset, available now via Skymall.

This device is a Symbian-based smartphone, with two SIM card slots, a 2.6 inch, 240 x 400 pixel TFT LCD resistive touchscreen display and a 3 megapixel camera at the back. “Live TV and FM radio” are also on the specs list, together with a front videocall camera, a built in LCOS projector and a case that’s only 0.66 inches thick.

The incorporated projector is able to project images that are 64 inches wide, quite a performance, considering that this is a phone. Too bad that the handset lacks 3G connectivity, else it would be close to perfection. The phone is selling for $499 unlocked and it works in the AT&T and T-Mobile networks.

LG eXpo and its Pico Projector Get a Quick Preview (Video)

LG eXpo is the newest Windows Mobile phone created by the Asian handset maker and its main appeal is the DLP pico projector that gets bundled with the device. You can check them both out in the video below, to see what the cool projector is all about:

Let us remind you that the smartphone comes with a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, a fingerprint sensor, also used for menu navigation and quite a bunch of other useful features. Back to the projector, this accessory attaches to the back side of the phone, providing some extra bulk, an unimportant issue for people looking for productivity.

The pico projector uses a sliding area, that controls the manual focus of the device and all in all, it’s a pretty cool gadget, that we’ll probably see in more elaborate reviews.

MiLi Pro iPhone Projector, Probably the Best Looking Gadget of This Kind

We’ve seen our share of gadgets, concepts and projectors, but this portable projector sure beats any other rival, as far as design is concerned. Dubbed MiLi Pro LCOS, this LED projector turns the iPhone and iPod Touch into a movie feast.

The mini projector supports a 640 x 480 pixels resolution, 10 lumens and it comes with VGA and RCA inputs, plus a dock connector. Expect the product to hit the market in September 2009 for a pricing yet unknown. More pics below for a better look at the superb gadget.

Looking for a hot mobile device that projects 46 inch images, allowing you to show your PowerPoint slides anywhere, anytime? Enter ChinaKing’s projector phone, a handset that’s half the price of Samsung MBP200 and features triband GSM connectivity, audio/video playback and a touchscreen display.

The projected image’s resolution is a VGA one (640 x 480 pixels) and it can be compared to many other mini projectors on the market. Sadly, the projector phone’s battery only lasts for about 2 hours (projector time), which for some may be enough, but some movies last longer than that.

Logic Bolt Phone Features a Mini Projector, Shown at CES 2009

Logic Wireless recently introduced a handset, which is also available at CES 2009 and was already posted on some sites, in neat hands on experiences. The main feature of the device? An incorporated mini projector, with a display size that goes from 36 to 64 inches, depending on the area you project the image on.

Logic Bolt features a quad band GSM chipset, Bluetooth, a 3 megapixel camera and a battery that allows the phone’s user to chat for about 2 or 3 hours. You’ll project video for about 2 hours, which is quite a decent performance for a phone. Logic Bolt supports VGA input from other devices and it comes with Java OS.

The future also looks bright, as the next version of the handset will support dual mode GSM/CDMA, live video conferencing, Windows Mobile and it’ll feature a brighter projector.

Having Fun With Nokia N96 and the Optoma Pico Projector (Video)

Some people can entertain themselves by using the coolest gadgetry around it seems. Just check out the following dude who toyed with an Optoma Pico projector and a Nokia N96 in the funniest ways possible, also demonstrating the potential of the two devices:

He managed to surf the web from his bed, scare his sister with the projection of a ghost or project embarrassing text on the neighbours’ fence. Finally, the Optoma Pico user was able to “read the small print”, play an animation in the bath (why?) and project his face on his girl’s bottom.

In case you want to get technical, Pico offers DLP type projection and features an LED lamp, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and USB recharging. It comes with AV input (stereo audio plus composite video) and PAL/NTSC (576i/480).

The little gizmo only weighs about 115 grams and incorporates a battery that lasts for about 2 hours. More details here.
