Eyetracking Interface Brings 3D Depth to Your Phone (Video)

February 25th, 2009 | by ThryStan |

Fancy a 3D interface on your handset? Check out the video below to see such a cool UI get demoed and experience depth and layers via this 3D engine, developed by The Astonishing Tribe:

The 3D engine renders in real time and relies on your eyes’ locations plus the phone’s orientation, in order to create 3D effects. You’ll notice the depth of the UI and its 3Dness only when you’re looking at the screen. Pretty cool when compared to the flat 2D menus, right?
