Flash 10.1 Gets Demoed on Toshiba TG01 (Video)

  • Adobe has just demoed its fresh software, Flash 10.1 on the Toshiba TG01 smartphone and it appears to be running smoothly, as you can see in the video below. Also, this technology will lend IE 6 for Windows Mobile a hand, making it look prettier.

    Expect Flash Player 10.1 to reach Windows Mobile as a beta version before the end of 2009 and it’ll also be supported on Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and webOS. The software will use GPU acceleration so you’ll get HD YouTube playback, while obviously something is lacking from the list of supported devices. Of course, it’s the good old iPhone…

    webOS will also get Flash 10.1 as a beta this year, while Android and Symbian should get it in 2010. BlackBerries will take a bit longer and a nifty addition to the software is the support of multitouch, gestures and accelerometer input.
