  • Instead of waiting for iPhone OS 3.0 to come out this summer, one can now play with a jailbroken version of the iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 3, provided that he’s skilled enough not to mess up his iPhone. Yes, you’ve got it right, QuickPWN 3.0 beta 3 is now available, although it’s not an official jailbreak solution.

The software should only be used by iPhone developers with legitimate iPhone Dev accounts, as installing it on regular handsets will probably damage the phones and waste the users’ time. However, in case you’re a dev looking for some SSH action, you’ll be able to jailbreak your iPhone just fine, thanks to QuickPWN 3.0 Beta 3.

Remember that Cydia isn’t supported yet, but developer suarik is on the case, working to port Cydia to iPhone 3.0 OS. There’s also the “Icy” app included in this QuickPWN version, allowing the user to download any needed jailbreak utility.
