  • There’s a brand new Kindle app for Android, that provides a great reading experience on your handset, replacing the Kindle device. You can access the books you have on your e-reader even if you don’t have the Kindle with you and you can sync your last read page and annotations between devices.

Text size can be adjusted, bookmarks can be added and you can read books in portrait or landscape mode. In order for one to turn pages you’ll need to tap on either side of the screen or flick. Using the Kindle software on Android you can also buy books from the Kindle Store and get it delivered wirelessly.

Over 500,000 titles are available, with many bestsellers included and you can even get free book samples, so you can decide before you buy. In order to use this app, you’ll need a device with Android 1.6 or greater and an SD card.
